Services
The Law Offices of Emily A. Jones provides a variety of services for every type of budget and every type of case.
Full Representation
This is what most people think of when they think of hiring an attorney. If you are seeking an attorney who will be your voice in court and who will represent your best interests, full representation is the route you will want to take. We will appear at your side you at all court appearances, negotiate for your best outcome with the opposing party or opposing attorney, and draft and file all legal documents on your behalf.
Full representation requires a retainer starting at $5,000, although it is important to note that many cases, especially those that are high-conflict, will cost more than the initial retainer. We pride ourselves on fair and transparent billing practices and want you to know what to expect from the outset.
Unbundled Legal Services
Unbundled legal services are an economical way to get specific legal services at a set rate. With unbundled services, you can decide what you need help with and when you need it. We charge you only for what you ask for our assistance with. It is essentially an a-la-carte approach to legal representation that can limit the scope of work the attorney is hired to do and therefore reduce the cost the client pays.
Examples of unbundled legal services we provide are:
- Ghostwriting – the attorney drafts the legal documents but the client files the documents in court and appears pro se, meaning they represent themselves
- Document review and analysis
- Advising on court procedure
- Providing legal guidance and opinions
Flat Fee Services
We offer flat fee services for the following:
Non-contested Divorces – If you and your spouse have already discussed and agreed to all aspects of your divorce – property division, spousal maintenance, child support, parenting time, and decision-making – we can help both of you draft all of the necessary paperwork and guide you through the divorce process. The flat fee for a non-contested divorce depends on factors such as whether children are involved and other case-specific details.
Prenuptial Agreements – A well-crafted prenuptial agreement helps protect individual assets, clarify financial expectations, and establish a clear framework for property division before marriage. Whether you have significant assets, business interests, or simply want to avoid potential disputes in the future, we provide tailored agreements that align with your needs and Colorado law.
Postnuptial Agreements – Unlike prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements are created after a marriage has begun. These agreements can help address financial changes, safeguard newly acquired assets, or clarify financial responsibilities within the marriage. Whether due to career shifts, inheritance, or evolving financial priorities, we ensure your agreement is legally sound and protects your interests.
Mediation Services
Mediation is required in virtually every family law matter that is filed in Colorado, and for good reason. Studies have shown that individuals who mediate and reach an agreement in that mediation are far happier with the outcome of their case in the future. After all, nobody knows your case better than you.
We offer affordable mediation services and can accommodate virtual and in person mediation sessions. We charge $200 per hour (or $100 per hour per party), and require a minimum retainer of two hours to reserve a mediation time.
