Emily A. Jones is the founder of The Law Office of Emily A. Jones, and began the firm with the principal mission of providing the highest standard of legal representation with compassion and understanding. She approaches every case with the goal of minimizing conflict and generating creative solutions to ensure long term harmony in every family she works with.

Emily Jones has been practicing law in Colorado since 2016 and has the skill, experience, and expertise to tackle your case no matter how complex.

Emily attended Vanderbilt Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Colorado right after law school and began her career as an attorney at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender. She then worked for several years at a local firm specializing in all areas of family law. Emily has practiced in family law, criminal defense, and general civil litigation. Emily also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California-Davis where she graduated with honors. Before becoming a lawyer, she was a successful lab rat in northern California performing leading edge cancer research at Genentech.

Emily brings a client-centered approach to her practice and is deeply committed to representing her clients in the most effective but compassionate way possible.

Brooke O. Bowerman, Associate Attorney

Brooke received her license to practice law in Colorado in 2022 after graduating from Vanderbilt Law School. Prior to coming to Colorado, she had experience working in criminal defense as an intern at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office and through the Vanderbilt Criminal Practice Clinic. Brooke began her legal career with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender, where she worked directly with clients facing varying severity in charges from case inception to resolution and jury trial.

Brooke understands the importance of holistic representation, recognizing that the effect a case has on a person extends far beyond the courtroom. She decided to pursue family law in addition to criminal defense in an effort to meet the broader needs of clients going through their toughest times. Brooke ensures each client receives thorough preparation of their cases and always brings her passion for advocacy into the courtroom.

In her free time, Brooke enjoys exploring Colorado’s trails, playing the piano, and refereeing volleyball games.

Anne M. Jardine, Senior Paralegal

Anne attended Colorado State University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with minors in International Relations and Development. After graduating, Anne began her career in civil litigation and has had the joy of working as a paralegal for several years.

Aside from her professional career, Anne is appointed by the 2nd Judicial District of Colorado as a Special Advocate at CASA Denver, where she supports and voices the needs for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Anne’s passion to help contribute to the universal goal that everyone is given the opportunity to understand and voice their legal rights has guided her transition into Family Law and Criminal Defense. This experience in conjunction with her legal skillset has given her the knowledge and ability to provide valuable support to our clients.

In her free time, Anne enjoys spending time with loved ones, being outdoors, traveling, and going to concerts with friends.

Henry H. Carroll, Associate Attorney

Henry Carroll, a proud Colorado native, achieved his law degree at the prestigious Sturm College of Law, University of Denver. His legal journey commenced with a strong academic foundation at Metropolitan State University of Denver and Colorado State University, offering him a profound understanding of the local community’s legal needs. While at university, he pursued coursework specializing in policing, criminal justice, and corrections, and in 2018, he graduated from Colorado State University with dual degrees in Sociology; Criminal Justice and Criminology, and History.

Henry’s dedication to excellence and his innovative approach set him apart as an attorney. Having served as a student attorney with the Criminal Defense Clinic at the University of Denver, Henry honed his skills in criminal defense, ensuring the protection of his clients’ rights and delivering meticulous and expert case handling. In the autumn of 2022, his application was awarded second place in the Law and Innovation Lab Legal Tech Competition, earning an exclusive invitation to the prestigious Iron Tech Lawyer Invitational at Georgetown University. This achievement underscores his unwavering commitment to remaining at the forefront of legal practice.

Alexis S. Chavez, Associate Attorney

Alexis’ approach to family law issues, such as divorce and child custody, is settlement-oriented and focuses on putting the family first. Alexis is trained in collaborative law, which prioritizes using a team approach to help parties focus on resolution of all issues outside of the courtroom. Alexis’ collaborative background allows her to successfully minimize conflict and produce fair and holistic settlements that provide her clients with the ability to transition into their new stage of life with ease and certainty. In the event settlement is not an option, Alexis has the experience to step into the court room and
advocate for her client’s best interest.

Prior to obtaining her law license in Colorado, Alexis practiced family law in the state of Florida. While practicing in Florida, she worked closely with the Guardian Ad Litem program as a volunteer guardian advocating for the best interest of dependent children. Alexis currently works with Bridge to Justice, a non-profit organization that provides representation for domestic violence victims that have petitioned for protection orders. Both of these opportunities have allowed Alexis to obtain invaluable experience, inside and outside of the courtroom, about navigating the family dynamic through a variety of tough emotional situations.

Alexis understands the challenges her clients face when presented with family law issues and strives to instill confidence in her clients with honesty, transparency, and a thorough walk through every step of the process. Accordingly, Alexis believes that a key basis of the attorney and client relationship is maintained through open lines of communication and mutual trust.

Erika T. Foster, Paralegal

Erika has had the pleasure of being a paralegal specializing in family law and criminal law for almost four years. She attended Metropolitan State University of Denver and received her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. Prior to becoming a paralegal, Erika worked first hand with individuals dealing with the legal system. She worked at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender, and at Correctional Psychology Associates, an office that provided rehabilitation services for recently released felons. This experience helped Erika realize the passion she has for helping people through the justice system.

Erika’s main goal is to provide peace of mind and comfort to our clients. She understands that going through the legal system is an overwhelming and stressful time, and she is able to ensure the needs of each case are met. Erika enjoys working as a paralegal and being able to help our clients through difficult times.

Erika aspires to become an attorney and is currently attending law school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts.
