Emily A. Jones, Founding Attorney
Emily A. Jones is the founder of The Law Office of Emily A. Jones. She began the firm with the principal mission of providing the highest standard of legal representation with compassion and understanding. She approaches every case with the goal of minimizing conflict and creating solutions to ensure long-term harmony in every family she works with.
Emily Jones has been practicing law in Colorado since 2016 and has the experience and expertise to tackle your case no matter how complex.
Emily is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, an institution that has solidified its place among the top 15 law schools in the United States for decades. She moved to Colorado right after law school and began her career as an attorney at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender. She then worked for several years at a local firm specializing in all areas of family law. Emily has practiced in family law, criminal defense, and general civil litigation. Emily also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California-Davis where she graduated with honors. Before becoming a lawyer, she was a successful lab rat in northern California performing leading-edge cancer research at Genentech.
Emily brings a client-centered approach to her practice and is deeply committed to representing her clients in the most effective but compassionate way possible.

Katie Wilson is a Senior Family Law Paralegal with over 12 years of experience dedicated to supporting clients through some of the most challenging times of their lives. Having worked in family law across both Colorado and Oregon, she is driven by a deep sense of compassion and a commitment to providing reliable, understanding support at every step of a case.
Katie is highly skilled in managing cases from initial filings through Permanent Orders. Her ability to anticipate the next steps ensures that each case moves forward efficiently. She excels at drafting pleadings, managing disclosures, and maintaining clear communication with clients. Katie’s warm and level-headed presence makes her a trusted advocate for the families we serve and a cornerstone of our collaborative team.
As a mom and wife, she understands how overwhelming life can be, especially when legal issues come into play. With personal experience in family law, she offers her clients a judgment-free space and support to focus on themselves and their families. Outside of work, Katie spends most of her time juggling family life while squeezing in the things she enjoys, like creating artwork, spending time outdoors, and traveling, especially anywhere near water. She’s an avid sports fan and loves live comedy and music.

With over 22 years of experience as a paralegal, including more than 15 focused in family law, Rose Pesina-Jones brings both deep expertise and heartfelt advocacy to every case she supports. Her commitment to family law is rooted in personal experience and a strong desire to help others navigate emotionally challenging situations with compassion and clarity.
As a senior paralegal for the past five years, Rose is known for her exceptional organizational skills and her ability to manage complex cases with precision. She takes pride in building close, trusting relationships with clients, understanding that family law matters are deeply personal and often life-changing.
Rose maintains a very close relationship with her children and parents, and she values the importance of family both personally and professionally. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking, traveling, and relaxing with a good book or movie. An avid pool player, Rose enjoys participating in local leagues as a way to unwind and spend time with friends. She also volunteers regularly at ALS events and local charities, reflecting her generous spirit and deep commitment to giving back to the community.

Jaiya is a dedicated and compassionate paralegal. She earned her Paralegal Certificate from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She is excited to begin her paralegal career with a strong foundation in advocacy. Before entering private practice, Jaiya worked with the District Attorney’s Office, where she was actively involved with the Victims’ Rights Act—ensuring every voice was heard and every individual treated with dignity and respect.
With a deep personal connection to family law, Jaiya’s passion stems from her own experiences growing up in a home affected by conflict. These experiences have fueled her determination to support families navigating difficult transitions and to give back to the same community that once supported her.

Henry Carroll, a proud Colorado native, achieved his law degree at the prestigious Sturm College of Law, University of Denver. His legal journey commenced with a strong academic foundation at Metropolitan State University of Denver and Colorado State University, offering him a profound understanding of the local community’s legal needs. While at university, he pursued coursework specializing in policing, criminal justice, and corrections, and in 2018, he graduated from Colorado State University with dual degrees in Sociology (Criminal Justice and Criminology) and History.
Henry’s dedication to excellence and his innovative approach set him apart as an attorney. Having served as a student attorney with the Criminal Defense Clinic at the University of Denver, Henry honed his skills in criminal defense, ensuring the protection of his clients’ rights and delivering meticulous case handling. In the autumn of 2022, his application was awarded second place in the Law and Innovation Lab Legal Tech Competition, earning an exclusive invitation to the prestigious Iron Tech Lawyer Invitational at Georgetown University. J. Alan Davis, Associate Attorney
Alan Davis, a native of Colorado, earned his law degree from the University of Wyoming, where he gained invaluable experience at the Wyoming Criminal Defense Clinic and successfully argued cases before the Wyoming Supreme Court while still in school. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado and has dedicated his legal career to serving clients throughout Colorado.
Alan’s legal journey began as a Colorado State Public Defender in Sterling, Colorado, where he spent three impactful years before transitioning to private practice specializing in criminal defense. With a profound commitment to his clients, Alan has appeared in virtually every courthouse across the state, gaining a deep understanding of both metropolitan and rural legal landscapes.
Known for his unwavering advocacy, Alan has taken more than 30 cases to trial, showcasing his proven trial skills and steadfast advocacy. His fearless approach to challenging district attorneys and his compassionate representation have earned him a reputation as a zealous advocate for his clients’ rights.

Dylan S. Sentman, Associate Attorney
Dylan earned her law degree from the University of Maryland, where she graduated at the top of her class. During law school, she led a landlord-tenant clinic, where she worked closely with both landlords and families to negotiate and mediate solutions. By fostering collaboration and finding creative resolutions, Dylan helped hundreds of families remain in their homes while balancing the needs of property owners. This experience reinforced her belief in the importance of compassionate, client-focused representation.
After law school, Dylan clerked for an appellate judge, gaining invaluable experience analyzing complex legal issues and understanding how judges approach decision-making. Dylan continued on to practice civil litigation at an Am Law 10 law firm, representing entities and organizations in high-stakes litigation. These experiences enable Dylan to craft compelling arguments and anticipate judicial perspectives, ensuring clients receive strategic and effective advocacy.

Dylan S. Sentman
Hanaã Obeidat, Associate Attorney
Hanaã achieved her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she participated in multiple student-led organizations and received her certification in Natural Resource and Environmental Law. While at Sturm, Hanaã had the opportunity to practice environmental justice through the law school’s environmental law clinic where she fiercely advocated for the health of community members and the environment.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, where she graduated summa cum laude. Throughout her academic career, Hanaã clerked at multiple Public Defender offices where she had the privilege of connecting and aiding those who were caught in the throes of our justice system.
Hanaã began her legal career at a local non-profit, aiding non-citizens in petitioning for status through U-Visa’s and under the Violence Against Women Act. Hanaã then pivoted to private sector criminal defense, where she mastered her craft in aiding the accused from the investigation through post-conviction phases of criminal cases. Through her various professional and personal experiences, Hanaã felt called to widen her practice to include Family Law so that she may continue to assist others throughout some of the most challenging times in their lives. Hanaã’s client-centered approach to family law, in addition to her extensive litigation experience, makes her a fearless advocate for those with family law needs.
When Hanaã is not in court or drafting motions, you can find her volunteering at Colorado Lawyers Committee’s legal night where she holds a position as a steering committee member alongside others who help conduct pro bono legal clinics in the Denver metro area. Outside of the legal world, Hanaã loves seeing the latest films at the movie theater, practicing yoga, and spending time with her couch-potato cat, April.

Violet Carr, Associate Attorney
Violet Carr earned her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she gained valuable experience working as a student attorney with the law school’s Domestic Violence Clinic. Through this work, she developed strong advocacy skills and a deep commitment to supporting individuals facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
Before attending law school, Violet studied at the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Mass Communications and minored in Political Science. Her studies sharpened her ability to communicate effectively and reinforced her interest in understanding the systems that shape people’s lives.
Both during law school and after graduation, Violet worked in personal injury law, where she honed her problem-solving skills and built a reputation for compassionate client service. Following the bar exam, Violet clerked for a Circuit Court Judge in South Carolina, offering a unique insight into judicial decision-making.
Now focusing her practice on family law, Violet works closely with individuals and families to guide them through challenging times. She prioritizes clear communication, empathy, and practical solutions that help clients move forward with confidence.
Outside the office, Violet enjoys spending time with her two dogs, skiing, and exploring new restaurants.
Violet Carr
Alba Ago, Law Clerk
Alba Ago graduated from Western New England University School of Law in May 2025. She earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude in just three years from Montclair State University, where she majored in Political Science and minored in both Social Work and Global Security Diplomacy.
Alba has dedicated more than six years to working in family law. She began her career as a family law legal assistant for a current Superior Court Judge in New Jersey and went on to complete a Family Defense Practicum at Western New England, where she served as a public defender in child protection cases. In addition, she worked as a law clerk, gaining exposure to a wide range of practice areas beyond family law, which has made her well-versed in handling diverse legal issues.
During law school, Alba was an active member of the Family Law Association and co-founder and president of the Middle Eastern Law Association. Through her leadership, she honed her communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills which are strengths that continue to define her client-centered approach today.
Originally from Albania, Alba is fluent in Albanian and brings a multicultural perspective to her work. Her background has instilled in her a deep appreciation for how cultural diversity shapes families and client experiences. She believes this perspective allows her to provide more empathetic, informed, and effective representation.
Outside of the legal profession, Alba is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring the world and connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. These experiences further enrich her perspective and her ability to serve clients with compassion and understanding.
